What is CardStrike Special?
CardStrike Special is a fast-paced, easy to learn card game where two players utilize their teams of Fighters, Assists and Action cards to duke it out in non-stop battles.The goal is simple; either reduce your opponent’s HP to 0 or make them burn through every card in their deck.
How to Play:
Fighters have a wide range of abilities that will influence battle and the board, requiring players to make strategic attacks and blocks.Fighter cards are modal, allowing them to be played directly onto the board with their own set of stats or they can be played as Support by sliding them underneath current Fighters to give them new abilities and extra strength in battle.Battles are simple yet deep. A card’s Battle Points determine both their attack and health. When a Fighter blocks another, simply subtract their opponent’s BP from their BP. When a character’s BP reaches 0, they’re discarded. Otherwise, the remainder becomes their new BP.
Action cards can be played throughout the game, making abrupt changes that can shift the game’s favor. Simply pay the cost indicated on the card and the event indicated takes place.Timing is key; some cards can be whenever, while others require specific conditions to be met to be sued. There are even Action cards that can be played on your opponent's turn!
Assist cards provide your board with passive buffs and abilities. Even though they don't usually deal damage, they're invaluable for defense. Assists do need some set up to become effective, so some serious deckbuilding and planning is required to make them as effective as possible.
